Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is your refund policy? A: You may receive a full refund up to one month prior to your trip date. You may receive refund minus deposit up to two weeks prior to your trip date. After two weeks before your trip no refund will be processed. Q: Can I bring my own tent? A: A focus of wilderness ministry is the community aspect of a trip. This means sharing a tent with someone. We provide 3 person tents for the purpose of sharing. Q: Can I bring a hammock? A: Bringing unnecessary items is discouraged due to added weight for your pack. We encourage each person to bring a camp chair to use for cooking and devotion time. Talk to your group contact about sleeping in a hammock. Q: Do I really need everything that is listed as required on the gear list? A: We have put a lot of thought into what is listed as required for your trip. If you have questions or doubts, contact your group leader. Everything listed on the gear list as required is essential and you should plan to bring it. Q: Can I bring my large Bible I use at home? A: If it isn't compact / travel size - leave it at home. The weight adds up! Purchase a travel size Bible for your trip. You'll be glad you did! Q: I already own a thermos for hot drinks. Should I bring that? A: ONLY if it is not metal and is lightweight. Anything you own already most likely is too heavy for your backpacking trip. A small plastic cup works well for hot drinks. Q: Rain isn't in the forecast. Do I really need rain gear? A: Yes. Always be prepared. The weather can change. Q: Do you provide coffee? A: Yes, instant coffee is provided. Q: Can you tell me exactly what time I will be back to my vehicle? A: No. Timing will depend on your group. We do our best to try and have you back to your vehicle by 5pm on Sunday. However, we would discourage you from making any plans for Sunday evening.
